Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade
The Colorado Springs Festival Lights of Parade will take place on December 3, 2011.
The parade will take place Downtown Colorado Springs starting at the corner of Tejon
and St. Vrain Street and will continue on Tejon to Vermijo Ave. Dress warm and dress in layers as temperatures get cold. Many of the streets get blocked off starting at 4:00 so come early to find parking. Do not park on Tejon Street. All cars will be removed before the parade starts. The parade is colorful, lots of music from local school bands and floats lit up for the holiday season. A fun event for the whole family.

Electric Safari at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Lights, Animals, and Holiday Spirit!
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is excited to celebrate 20 years of holiday lights and winter family fun at Electric Safari! Nearly one million sparkling lights illuminate crisp winter nights, including over 40 animated light sculptures. Santa Express Train at the Royal Gorge
The Santa Express is a winter wonderland, decorated in holiday style, where children are encouraged to wear cozy pajamas and relax with family and friends while they sip homemade cocoa and listen to classic holiday stories read by Santa’s elves. Large plate-glass windows allow passengers to enjoy the Rocky Mountain-beauty of the Royal Gorge on the way to the North Pole, which is fittingly decorated like a true Christmas town, bedecked with holiday lights and decor for its most famous resident – Santa Claus.

Butte Theater in Cripple Creek - Christmas Donkey
Local character William Otis is well known for his eccentric behavior; breaking into song at the drop of a hat and conversing with a donkey. But when he starts dressing like Santa Claus (and begins dressing his donkey as a Reindeer) it’s only the children of Cripple Creek who know the truth: Old Bill Otis is the next Santa. This show is followed by a Christmas Olio.
