The Air Force Academy is both a military organization and an accredited college for the undergraduate education of commissioned officers for the United States Air Force. The 10th Air Base Wing support personnel comprises more than 3,000 military, civilian and contract personnel who conduct all base-level support activities.

The Air Force Academy is located north of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado.  The Academy is one of the largest tourist attractions in Colorado with Visitor Center, Cadet Chapel, camping and recreation. The beautiful Academy grounds feature pine trees, scenic mountain views and an abundance of deer and wildlife.  The Academy is home to the Air Force Falcons football team.
