Colorado Springs Festival of Lights

The Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade is on December 3, 2011 at 5:50 pm.  The Festival of Lights Parade has chosen the Empty Stocking Fund as its charity this year.  Click on the Empty Stocking link to make a donation online or bring a dollar to the parade and give it to the collection elves.  The Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade includes floats, bands, elves and more.  The annual Festival of Lights Parade is held in downtown Colorado Springs and starts at the corner of Tejon and St Vrain Streen and proceeds south onTejon to Vermijo Avenue.  This years Fesitival of Lights Theme is "Through the Eyes of a Child."

Get to the parade early to find good parking.  Tejon street will be closed and cars will be towed to make room for the parade so be sure to park in one of the Downtown parking areas or side streets.  It gets cold at night (Brrrr....) so bring warm clothing, blankets a chair and something warm to drink.  Downtown restaurants are open.  Help support local businesses and eat downtown for dinner before the parade starts.

Happy Holidays,
